How to setup an Xlite client with mPBX.

To set up the Xlite soft phone on your Windows, Mac, Linux Desktop or Laptop please follow the steps below;

1- First download Xlite from the Counterpath website.

2- Once downloaded follow the on screen prompts to install the software.

3- Click on the soft phone tab in the top left and then on the account settings. Enter your SIP device details from mPBX. The SIP ID needs to be entered into the User ID and the Authorization name, the domain needs to be sipm.voipline.net.au:7060 and the display name can be anything you like.

4- Next click on the voicemail tab and un-select the ‘check for voicemail’ option.

5- Then select topology and set the STUN server to stun.voipline.net.au:3478 and change the range of ports for signalling to a figure above 5061. If you have multiple soft phones on the same network, make sure that the signalling ports are different for each user.

6- Select transport and change the signalling transport to UDP.

7- Finally change the re-registration time to 120 from 3600.
