Forward callers to voicemail outside of business hours

 

We will be forwarding all calls outside of normal regular business hours (Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00) to the voicemail service.
If the time is inside of regular business hours, call will be directed to the users mobile service.

 

Drag and drop Inbound number into the main mPBX screen

Click on the gear icon  in the bottom right corner and enter a name for the Inbound number and select the required number by highlighting the number in "Available numbers" and by clicking the right arrow, this will populate the number in the "Included numbers" field. Press Save

Drag and drop the Time conditions object into the main screen mPBX screen and connect the Inbound number to the Time Conditions object.

Click on the gear icon  in the bottom right corner, enter a name for the Time condition and click on the Add time condition button followed by clicking on the green Plus icon to add a new time range. Select hours.

 Add relevant times in the Hours fields. Click plus again to repeat the same, except this time, for the Day of week fields. For the purpose of this tutorial, we are adding the hours 09:0017:00 and days Monday to Friday. Once completed, press Save.

Drag and drop the User and Voicemail objects into the main mPBX screen and connect both objects to the Time conditions object ensuring that Matches  follows the path to the User and Doesn't match follows the path to Voicemail.

 

On the User object, click on the gear icon  in the bottom right corner and enter a Name and select the relevant Call plan, Dial plan and Caller ID. 

On the right hand side, click the green Add drop down button and select External Number.

Select the amount of time you wish the service to ring for (VoIPline recommends the default of 30 seconds) followed by clicking Save.

On the Voicemail object, click on the gear icon  in the bottom right corner and enter a Name for the object. You can optionally enter an email address if you wish for voicemail recordings to be forwarded to your email address. 

If you wish to use the default greeting, you may press Save and the Apply Configuration to activate this call flow. If you wish to record or upload a custom greeting, see below.

Optionally, you may choose to record a a custom voicemail greeting instead of using the default greeting. To do so, from the Greeting drop down field, select Custom greeting

To record your voicemail message by calling another phone (eg: A landline, mobile or another SIP service), you can do so by pressing the Red button, selecting a call target, and clicking Call to record. This will call the external number allowing you to record a message.

Once completed, hang up and click Save Recording

If you wish to upload a copy of a pre-recorded greeting in .wav format, you can do so by clicking the green upload button. (Note: The format of the .wav file must be 8000hz, 16bit and Mono)
Once file is uploaded, you may press Save and the Apply Configuration to activate this call flow.
